This was our first organized tour, and what a way to start! The anniversary of D-Day in Normandy was a very moving experience: villages festooned with British, French, and American flags; the hundreds of World War II veterans--a generation that is passing away... revisiting the sites of their glory; the cemeteries honoring the dead.
