The following itinerary is a sampling of the experiences that we offer on a Tailor-Made Journey. Working with our country specialists, you can customize your itinerary to fit your timing, your budget, and your interests, including accommodations, activities, and the places you visit.

Day 1 — Darwin

Arrive in Australia and meet your private driver for the transfer to your hotel in Darwin. The remainder of the day is at leisure, allowing time to rest after your journey or begin acclimating to the relaxed pace of Australia’s tropical north.

Day 2 — Darwin / Litchfield National Park

Set out on a small‑group experience led by an Indigenous guide into Litchfield National Park. Explore waterfalls, rainforest, and sacred ancestral lands while learning about local cultural traditions and connections to Country. Enjoy a classic Northern Territory lunch, followed by a refreshing swim in a crystal‑clear natural pool before returning to Darwin in the afternoon. (B,L)

Day 3 — Darwin / Kakadu National Park

Experience Kakadu National Park by air, land, and water on a full‑day exploration. Begin with a scenic flight over vast floodplains, winding rivers, and iconic waterfalls, then continue on a Yellow Water Billabong cruise, rich in birdlife and crocodile sightings. After lunch, visit the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre for deeper insight into the region’s heritage before flying back to Darwin later in the day.(B)

Day 4 — The Ghan (Darwin to Katherine)

Transfer privately to the station this morning to board The Ghan, one of the world’s most iconic rail journeys. Enjoy a welcome drink and chef‑prepared lunch as the train travels south through the outback toward Katherine. Here, choose from a selection of immersive experiences, including a cruise through Nitmiluk Gorge, an encounter with outback life at the Katherine Outback Experience, or exploration of the limestone formations and cultural stories of the Cutta Cutta Caves. Day 5 — The Ghan & Alice Springs

Day 6 — The Ghan & Coober Pedy

Arrive in the remarkable underground town of Coober Pedy, known for its opal‑mining heritage. Day 7 — Adelaide

Enjoy a leisurely brunch on board as The Ghan transitions from red outback landscapes into South Australia’s greener countryside, passing through the Flinders Ranges before arriving in Adelaide. Disembark and meet your private driver for the transfer to your hotel.(B)

Day 8 — Adelaide / Barossa Valley

Depart with a knowledgeable local guide for a full‑day Barossa Valley wine experience. Visit boutique, family‑run wineries for tastings and enjoy a tasting‑menu lunch showcasing the region’s seasonal produce. Return to Adelaide in the late afternoon.(B,L)

Day 9 — Kangaroo Island

Transfer to the airport for the short flight to Kangaroo Island. After settling into your coastal lodge, begin exploring the island’s natural highlights with a guided walk among endangered sea lions at Seal Bay. Day 10 — Kangaroo Island

Day 11 — Adelaide Hills
