Jennifer Eremeeva

Writer and Historian

Jennifer Eremeeva is an American expatriate writer, historian, and lecturer who explores the intersections of travel, history, culture, cuisine, and culinary history. She is a passionate Francophile and student of French history who has traveled extensively throughout France. Jennifer has a particular interest in the medieval Normans and never passes up an opportunity to visit their strongholds in Northern France. She studied Russian history at Columbia University in New York and photography at the Moscow Institute of Photography. She is the author of the award-winning memoir, Lenin Lives Next Door: Marriage, Martinis, and Mayhem in Moscow, and a pocket guide to Russian history, Have Personality Disorder, Will Rule Russia. Her work has also been featured on NPR and Reuters and in publications such as Fodor’s TravelAAA Magazine, Bucket List Travels, Russian Life, and Elysian magazine. Jennifer currently produces a bi-weekly travel newsletter as well as a series of popular “8-Hour Guides” to major travel destinations.
