D. from Cornell University, Pepper did post-doctoral research at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute and the California Academy of Sciences. An expert photographer and writer, Pepper has led natural history tours throughout South America, from the untouched jungles of Suriname to the tip of Tierra del Fuego. Pepper is excited to be a leader on this trip to the land of Andean Condors and the mighty Magellanic Woodpecker. His enthusiasm and sense of humor always convert a few 'non-birders' to ‘birder’s’ every trip. Pepper will be on the January 2014 departure.
