This itinerary explores some of the regional variations, starting by exploring a London market with a food writer and ending with an experience on a local farm in rural Ireland. Sample Itinerary

Day 1 — Depart the U.S. for London, England

Day 2 — London

Upon arrival in London, meet your private driver at the airport, who'll whisk you into the city to your centrally located hotel. This afternoon, make your way by foot, cab, or ride the Tube to the renowned Borough Market. Meet food writer Celia Brooks, the only licensed tour guide in the market, for coffee and chocolate, followed by a whirlwind culinary tour showcasing her favorite stalls, as well as stalls she handpicks to your tastes.

Day 3 — Cotswolds

This morning, make your way to the train station for a day trip to the picturesque Cotswolds district. This scenic train journey should take just over an hour. Join a small group for a "secret cottages" tour in a secluded Cotswold village. Spend the day alternating between enjoying homemade treats in the host's own cottage home, and exploring the other cottages of the village on foot. Wrap up the day back at the host's house with tea and freshly-baked desserts. At the end of the day, return to London by train, to spend a final evening in the city.

Day 4 — The Lake District

This morning, make your way to the train again, this time bidding farewell to London as you travel to the Lake District. Your train journey to the Lake District takes about two and a half hours. Upon arrival, a private driver takes you from the station to your accommodation, a drive of about 40 minutes.

Stay at the Forest Side Hotel, just a five minute walk from the village of Grasmere, famed for its excellent gingerbread. This hotel is a food aficionado's dream, with a full wine cellar and a Michelin starred restaurant serving food grown on premises or foraged in the immediate vicinity.

Day 5 — The Lake District

Your private driver-guide picks you up from your hotel this morning for a tour of the farms in the area. Get a firsthand look at the hard work that goes into the fresh food supplied by the district. This tour is tailored to your specific interests and preferences.

Your guide then takes you toward the southern portion of the Lake District, on a scenic drive that showcases the natural beauty and quaint towns that dot the region. See landmarks connected to Beatrix Potter, the beloved children's author who is most closely associated with the Lakes. Join Mandy, the current caretaker of Potter's home, Castle Cottage, for a light lunch. At the end of the day, your driver returns you to Grasmere in time for dinner.

Day 6 — Edinburgh, Scotland

Return to the train station today and depart for the Scottish capital of Edinburgh. Upon arrival in Edinburgh, make your way to the hotel. You're staying at B&B Edinburgh, a boutique spot in the New Town district. As the name suggests, award-winning breakfasts are the specialty, but the surrounding streets contain some of Edinburgh's finest dining spots.

This afternoon, meet up with a local food guide for a tour of the culinary delights of Edinburgh's old and new towns. As your small group explores the diverse architecture and bustling city streets, your guide explains the city's rich food history, and there are numerous stops along the way to taste for yourself.

Day 7 — Edinburgh

Today, your private guide and driver take you on a tour of Edinburgh's Old and New towns. Walk the cobbled streets of this fascinating city as your guide tells you the history and the secrets lying down the fabled "closes" (alleys) and underpasses. Discover the stark contrast between the classical Old Town and the more modern, gridded New Town, and see the birds-eye views from Arthur's Seat, a hill overlooking the entire surrounding area. After your full-day tour, there's no shortage of inspiration for how to spend your evening.

Day 8 — Cairngorms Region

After breakfast, make your way north with your private driver to the mountainous Cairngorms region of Scotland. Day 9 — Caledonian Forests and Glens

Day 10 — Belfast, Northern Ireland

Your private driver brings you to Inverness Airport for your flight to Belfast today. On arrival in Northern Ireland, you're greeted at the airport by a private driver who takes you into the history-rich city of Belfast and your hotel. Staying in the luxurious Merchant Hotel, you're located in the heart of Belfast's Cathedral Quarter and a stone's throw from some of the finest restaurants and nightlife the city has to offer. The hotel itself is host to a grand dining room and an award-winning cocktail bar. Belfast is known for its turbulent past, and no visit is complete without the Black Cab political tour.

Your cab driver-guide picks you up from the hotel this afternoon to show you around the western part of town, where you can see the remnants of the religious conflict that once literally divided the city in two. See up-close the Peace Wall which today stands as a message of unity and hope. Your driver will then return you to the hotel for the evening.

Day 11 — Belfast

Head out of town for a unique culinary adventure that showcases food specialties of the Belfast area. Your private driver brings you to a small coastal village about an hour outside of town, to meet Patrice, a French-born oyster farmer. You're shown around of his farm to learn what goes into the delicacies. Then, join Patrice for a feast of fresh seafood and wine or Guinness overlooking the ocean.

In the afternoon, drive a short distance along the coast to a local breadmaker's thatched farmhouse. Spend a few hours learning how to make bread using traditional Irish recipes, and - naturally - sample your work when you're done. You're then driven back to your hotel in Belfast where you have one more night to enjoy the city.

Day 12 — Dublin, Ireland

Your private driver takes you from your hotel to the train station this morning as you get set to embark for Ireland's capital city of Dublin. You're met at the station and taken you to your hotel. Staying in the boutique Brooks Hotel, you're right outside of the famous Temple Bar area of Dublin. This accommodation is known for its outstanding breakfast buffet and is located in close proximity to many of Dublin's finest pubs and restaurants.

This afternoon, make your way over by cab to Ireland's most popular attraction, the Guinness Storehouse. Your tickets are included for this self-guided tour, and include one complimentary pint of Ireland's flagship beer. Enjoy various exhibits on the making, history, marketing, and (of course) tasting of the stout, and take in the views of the city in the Gravity Bar. The rest of the evening is yours to explore and dine as you please.

Day 13 — Dublin

Today enjoy a Fab Food Trail, tasting local specialties throughout the city. To cap off the food related day, enjoy a Literary Pub crawl around the city.

Day 14 — Limerick

Travel by train from Dublin to Limerick. Upon arrival in Limerick, your private driver meets you to take you to your accommodation at Dunraven Arms.

Day 15 — County Clare, the Cliffs of Moher, and Galway

Your private driver takes you to County Clare this morning where you can enjoy a half-day artisan trail through the Burren where you have the chance to indulge in goat cheese and go on a beachside foraging walk. Following this, see the sandstone Cliffs of Moher by boat. After you have had your fill, your private driver brings you to your hotel in Galway.

Day 16 — Connemara

Take in beautiful scenery as your private driver takes your through Connemara National Park. If you wish, enjoy a hike on one of the three different trails ranging from easy, to moderate, to advanced. After you have taken in the heaths, woods, and vast grasslands, your driver guide brings you to your remote country manor house, set amid a secluded mountain valley.

Day 17 — Connemara

Indulge in local foods and explore the surrounding landscape during your seafood and farm experience, which leaves by boat from your hotel.

Day 17 — Return to the U.S.

Today say goodbye to the Emerald Isle as you are collected for a private transfer to Shannon Airport.
