Day 3 — The Lake District

This morning, make your way to the train again, this time bidding farewell to London as you travel to the Lake District. Your train journey to the Lake District takes about two and a half hours. Upon arrival, a private driver takes you from the station to your accommodation, a drive of about 40 minutes.

Stay at the Forest Side Hotel, just a five minute walk from the village of Grasmere, famed for its excellent gingerbread. This hotel is a food aficionado's dream, with a full wine cellar and a Michelin starred restaurant serving food grown on premises or foraged in the immediate vicinity.

Join Mandy, the current caretaker of Potter's home, Castle Cottage, for a light lunch. At the end of the day, your driver returns you to Grasmere in time for dinner.
