Silk Path Hotel Hanoi

Hanoi, Vietnam

The Silk Path is well located for exploring the Old Quarter of Hanoi and the French Quarter, and for taking a stroll around Hoan Kiem Lake. The guest rooms are well appointed and stylishly furnished although some of the deluxe rooms only have internal windows, which is common for many of the older buildings in the city. The hotel has a fresh, contemporary feel with a range of facilities, including several restaurants, a premium bar and a piano bar, a fitness center as well as a Jacuzzi on the top floor. The local government authorities have designated three pick-up and drop-off points for vehicles in the Old Quarter to avoid traffic congestion in the area. The Silk Path is conveniently located near to one of these official parking points and your guide will assist with luggage should you not be able to park immediately outside the hotel.

Indochina Sails

Halong Bay, Vietnam

The four Indochina Sails vessels are custom-designed wooden junks combining classic 1930s Indochine style with modern comfort. All were built in Vietnam between 2007 and 2010 using local materials and craftsmen, with the gu huong wood adding to the ships’ character and charm. En suite cabins are tastefully decorated and offer air conditioning, Wi-fi, and large windows. Each vessel includes a restaurant, wooden sundeck, and a cozy bar.

Ancient House Resort

Hoi An, Vietnam

Situated by the banks of the Thu Bon river, the Ancient House Resort is modeled around the 200-year-old house of a Chinese merchant. The house itself is located at the back of the resort and the Vietnamese family who live there still produce around 200 kilograms of rice noodles in the house a day using traditional methods. The resort's 52 rooms are simple and elegant in design and most have a private balcony or terrace area overlooking the lush, tropical gardens.

There is a lovely, small swimming pool, providing welcome relief in the hotter months. The hotel provides a regular shuttle service to the Old Town, about a 20-minute walk away.

Azerai La Residence Hue

Hue, Vietnam

Ideally located on the quiet banks of the Perfume River opposite the Imperial Palace, Azerai La Residence boasts outstanding views of both the Ancient Citadel and the Forbidden City. The modern hotel is built around an Art Deco villa that served as a seat of the French governors in the early 20th-century. Beautifully appointed rooms have every modern convenience, and some have private balconies. A riverside restaurant serves creative Vietnamese and European flavors, and other offers include an outdoor saltwater swimming pool, a fitness center, and an extensive spa offering a complete range of treatments.

Aquari Hotel

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Situated in the heart of the lively District 1 neighborhood, within easy walking distance of the Opera House and Notre Dame Cathedral, the Aquari Hotel makes a great base for exploring Saigon. This modern property offers a range of comfortable rooms, some with great views over the Saigon River. Amenities include a restaurant, a café, and a fitness center.

Victoria Can Tho Resort

Can Tho, Vietnam

The Victoria Can Tho Resort sits on the banks of the Hau River, a tributary of the Mekong, offering a lovely retreat in the bustling city of Can Tho. Blending Vietnamese décor and French colonial architecture, the hotel is spacious and inviting, with tastefully appointed rooms that look out on lush garden. The hotel has a central pool, flanked by restaurants and a handsome bar, and features wellness services and a boutique that sells locally made crafts. Bicycles are available for hire.

La Veranda Resort

Pho Quoc, Vietnam

Nestled amid gardens on the edge of a beautiful beach, La Veranda is a 1920s French colonial-style mansion where wicker furniture, whirring ceiling fans, and breezy verandas create a magical air of times past. This relaxed and elegant resort offers a selection of rooms and villas decorated in a classic French colonial style, with mosaic floors, dark wood trim, four-poster beds, and private balconies with views of the lush gardens or the beach. The swimming pool forms a centrepiece to the gardens and a small spa offers a range of massages, wraps and scrubs. The restaurant serves Vietnamese, Asian and French cuisine, and you can opt to take your meal on a tiny white-sand island instead. La Veranda is close to a number of local bars and restaurants, which you can stroll to in the evening after spending the day unwinding in the sun.
