This sample itinerary can be tailored to match a variety of budgets and interests by selecting the trip duration, departure date, accommodation style, and tours that fit your needs.

Explore Scotland, often referred to as the last frontier of Europe, and known for its wild landscape and rich cultural traditions. Beginning in the capital, Edinburgh, you’ll explore the medieval city before venturing north along the west coast of the country, journeying across to the eastern side via Loch Ness and then returning to Edinburgh. You’ll travel through spectacular and varied landscapes, from tall mountains looming over still lochs to lush green glens surrounded by rugged, wild scenery

Sample Itinerary

Day 1 — Depart the U.S. for Edinburgh, Scotland

Day 2 — Edinburgh

On arrival at Edinburgh airport, your private driver takes you to your centrally located hotel. You have time to settle in and explore the city before you head out for the evening on your ghost & ghouls tour to explore the hidden tunnels under the city and learn about the city's haunted past.

Day 3 — Edinburgh

This morning you're met by your private guide for a walking tour of Edinburgh's Old and New Towns. This is a great orientation to the city, before your afternoon off to explore on your own. Explore Edinburgh Castle or if you're feeling adventurous, hike up Arthur's Seat for some of the best views of the city.

Day 4 — Castles and Palaces near Edinburgh

Meet your private driver for a full-day tour of the castles and palaces that surround Edinburgh. You have the opportunity to learn about the history, walk around the ruins, and explore Rosslyn Chapel which you may recognize from the Da Vinci Code.

Day 5 — Loch Lomond

Make your way via private driver to the beautiful Loch Lomond. Upon arrival, embark on a bicycle ride along the loch shore, returning via boat. Take in magnificent views of the surrounding mountains. To top off this adventurous day, embark on a champagne seaplane ride over the mountains before relaxing at your top of the line, lakeside accommodation.

Day 6 — Glencoe

Today your private driver takes you to Glencoe, passing through the scenic Glen Etive. Embark on a two-hour hike to the intriguing "Lost Valley," before delving into the history of the area at the West Highland Museum.

Day 7 — Isle of Skye

Your driver picks you up and brings you to the Isle of Skye, better known as the Misty Isle. Board a ferry in Mallaig which takes you to Skye.

Once you've checked into your hotel, head off for a full day exploring, taking in the bizarre landscapes on the northern Trotternish Peninsula before mixing your own gin concoction in a private gin distilling experience.

Day 8 — Isle of Skye

Today you have another full day to explore the Isle of Skye. Begin your day fly fishing with a local ghillie, immersing yourself in the outdoors.

After, explore the Dunvegan Castle and Gardens, which have remained in the McLeod family for 800 years. If the weather permits, hop on board a boat to see an abundance of seals and end your day with a dram of whisky before returning to your hotel.

Day 9 — Inverness

Inverness is your destination with your private driver today, stopping en route at the most photographed castle in Scotland, Eilean Donan. Then drive along the shore of the famous Loch Ness to Inverness, where you can settle into your hotel and have time to explore the city.

Day 10 — Grantown-on-Spey

Delve into history today as you explore the Culloden Battlefield, Clava Cairns, and Cawdor Castle with your driver-guide. After, you're driven to the Cairngorms National Park to stay amid this scenic landscape.

Day 11 — Grantown-on-Spey

Today you're taken to Rothiemurchus Estate to spend the day enjoying the great outdoors. Explore the estate with a countryside ranger in his Land Rover, with the opportunity to hand feed deer and participate in other outdoor activities if you choose.

Day 12 — Edinburgh

A whisky and chocolate tasting experience awaits you as you are brought to Dalwhinnie Distillery with your private driver, before making your way back to Edinburgh.

Day 13 — Return to the U.S.

Your private driver brings you to Edinburgh Airport today for your journey home.
