Overview

This sample itinerary can be tailored to match a variety of budgets and interests by selecting the trip duration, departure date, accommodation style, and tours that fit your needs.

This comprehensive two-week trip of Namibia explores the dunes at Sossusvlei, wild Skeleton Coast, Damaraland with its desert-adapted elephant and Etosha's big game. Staying in comfortable guesthouses and lodges, it is a perfect introduction to Namibia.

Sample Itinerary

Day 1

On arrival in Windhoek you will be met and driven to your guesthouse where our representatives will meet with you. They will answer any last minute questions you may have about your trip, hand over your mobile phone, cool box and driving directions and will also be present whilst the car is delivered.

Day 2

Drive to the Sesriem area today through the spectacular Naukluft Mountains. Arrive at your lodge within the park for a two night stay. This afternoon relax at your lodge and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Day 3

Full day exploring the dunes at Sossusvlei.

Day 4

Drive to Swakopmund today, a picturesque colonial town on the shores on the Atlantic. Here you have a two night stay at Cornerstone Guesthouse. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon exploring this small town.

Day 5

Enjoy a half day kayak trip to Pelican Point to see the large seal colony. Enjoy coffee on the beach before heading back to town for a leisurely afternoon.

Day 6

Drive north to Damaraland and see the mountains, open plains and dry river beds which are frequented by the desert adapted elephant. Arrive at your lodge early afternoon and relax and enjoy the wilderness scenery. Enjoy a two night stay at Camp Kipwe.

Day 7

Take part in some of the organized Camp Kipwe activities such as a guided nature drive in search of the desert-elephant. Payable for locally.

Day 8

Drive east to Etosha National Park and stay in the heart of the park at Okaukuejo Rest Camp which has a magnificent floodlit waterhole. Enjoy two nights at Okaukuejo Rest Camp.

Day 9

A full day self-driving and game viewing around the area of Etosha National Park.

Day 10

Today you have a full day of game viewing as you travel across the park to the east of Etosha National Park. Stop at the various waterholes as well as the huge salt pan. Leave the park at the eastern gate and spend the next two nights at your friendly camp.

Day 11

Enjoy game viewing around the eastern section of Etosha National Park.

Day 12

This morning drive south to the Central Highlands for your one night stay at Frans Indongo. Relax this afternoon, perhaps making a visit to the Cheetah Conservation Foundation.

Day 13

Drive from the Central Highlands back to Windhoek and onto the airport for your flights home.
