Suggested Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrive in Amman

Upon arrival in Amman you'll be met by your private driver and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax and begin exploring the city; perhaps visit Amman’s various art galleries and museums or the Roman theatre. (B)

Day 2 – Amman/Jerash

This morning drive to the Roman site of Jerash where a local guide will show you around the expansive ruins. See the 2nd-century Hadrian's Arch, the Forum's oval colonnade, and the columns of the Temple of Artemis. Return to Amman in the afternoon and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. (B)

Day 3 – Petra

Get an early start to your day with a long, scenic drive down the 5000-year-old King’s Highway to Petra. Stop along the way to see far-reaching views over the Dead Sea from Mount Nebo, mosaics at St. George’s church in Madaba, and the crusader castle of Kerak. (B)

Day 4 – Petra

Today enjoy a full-day tour of Petra. Meet with your private guide to see Petra’s highlights and hear about the city’s ancient history. After your guided tour, take the afternoon to explore on your own. (B)

Day 5 – Petra

The wonders of Petra are too vast to see in just one day. Take this second day in Petra to explore on your own. See the mosaics at the site of the Byzantine church, explore the Royal Tombs, or admire the intricate rock carvings. For those looking for a challenge, venture to climb to the Monastery or the High Place of Sacrifice. (B)

Day 6 – Wadi Rum

Continue south today en route to the rocky desert landscape of Wadi Rum. On your way, stop at Little Petra, a small suburb of ancient Petra once used as a gateway to the main city. See the Hejaz railway desert station that was once a part of a major communication channel for the Ottoman Empire but was stopped following World War I. (B)

Day 7 – Wadi Rum/Dead Sea

This morning, enjoy a camel ride through Wadi Rum before heading north towards the Dead Sea. Along the way stop to see Lot’s cave—believed to be where the biblical figure lived after fleeing Sodom—and Mukawir, to see the ruins of the fortress of Herod.(B)

Days 8 & 9 – Dead Sea

The next two days are free to relax by the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth. A visit wouldn't be complete without spending time floating almost weightless on the water famous for its high salinity levels. You may also want to indulge in a massage or spa treatment at your hotel, given the area’s reputation for its healing practices. (B)

Day 10 – Amman/Depart for the U.S.

This morning transfer to Amman for your return flight to the U.S.

Included meals are denoted as follows: Breakfast (B), Lunch (L), Reception (R), Dinner (D)
