This trip is perfect for those who have two weeks and would like to take in all the main highlights of this fascinating country. The combination of history, culture, architecture, countryside and coastal relaxation provides the opportunity to get under the skin of the country. Enjoy three full days exploring the iconic temples of Angkor and some time to enjoy the town of Siem Reap. Explore Cambodia’s turbulent history and haggle at the Russian market in Phnom Penh. Kayak through the mangrove forests and visit remote fishing villages in the protected area of the Cardamom Mountains. Relax in the atmospheric coastal town of Kep, before enjoying a freshly caught seafood feast at the crab market.

Sample Itinerary

Day 1

Arriving into Phnom Penh you will be met and taken to your hotel, with the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2

Today explore the stunning Royal Palace complex and the Silver Pagoda, named after the 5000 silver tiles covering the floor. Later you will visit the sombre museum of S21 and the Killing Fields, two sites related to the Khmer Rouge regime.

Day 3

Your time in the capital ends this morning as you transfer south to Koh Kong to enjoy two nights at the 4 Rivers Floating Lodge.

Day 4

A day free to relax and enjoy the river, you may like to take one of the trips that 4 Rivers has to offer such as kayaking in the mangroves, or a boat trip to the nearby waterfalls.

Day 5

Head to the charming seaside resort of Kep today.

Day 6

A free day to relax in Kep or explore the local area.

Day 7

A day at leisure.

Day 8

A day at leisure.

Day 9

This afternoon you transfer along the south coast of Cambodia to Sihanoukville. From there you fly north west towards Siem Reap for the final four nights of your trip.

Day 10

Begin your temple exploration with an early morning visit to the iconic Angkor Wat. Your temple touring continues this afternoon with Banteay Srei and Banteay Samre—so often overlooked, these temples provide the ideal introduction to the Angkor era. You will also have time to visit the Golden Silk Farm to learn about the Khmer craft of silk weaving, from seed to scarf!

Day 11

Visit Angkor Thom and the stunning Bayon temple, the Terrace of Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King. This afternoon is at leisure to explore Siem Reap or simply relax. Perhaps visit the Angkor National Musuem.

Day 12

An early start today, as you visit Ta Prohm at dawn. The temple is often deserted and very atmospheric at this time. Later in the morning, travel out to the floating village of Kompong Khleang, a fascinating trip which offers a chance to see life unfold on the great Tonle Sap lake.

Day 13

 Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
