Eurostars Hotel Convento de Capuchinos

Segovia, Spain

This five-star deluxe hotel started life as a convent in the 15th century and was converted into a deluxe hotel in 2014. The layout of the hotel was dictated by its former life as a convent. All rooms face outward and mainly to the valley and plains beyond Segovia, however, a few rooms have a city view. Centrally located, the hotel is the perfect spot to stay when exploring the city and its environs. The Cathedral, the Main Plaza with its restaurants and shops are only a five-minute walk away. This historic hotel features contemporary, well-appointed guest rooms with high ceilings, a restaurant serving regional Castilian specialties and lovely gardens for exploring. WiFi service is complimentary. The room block will be comprised of twenty (20) Superior guest rooms with twin or king beds. The hotel will use double rooms for single occupancy. Due to the historic nature of the hotel, rooms may have different configurations.

Number of nights: 7

Activity Levels

Expectations: Week-long Cultural Stay featuring one city and region—and one hotel. Full-day excursions outside the city but well paced. Walking tours of museums and outdoor sites, including archaeological sites, which can be over uneven terrain (e.g. cobblestones, city hills, stairs without handrails, absence of elevators); some longer walks to get to city centers where coaches are prohibited. Hotel centrally located for easy access to shops and restaurants, which is ideal for time at leisure, including final day.

Appropriate for: Travelers who are physically fit and comfortable with longer days of touring (both walking tours and coach time).
