Dr. Nurnberger has spoken frequently on a wide range of historical and political topics for the Smithsonian Associates Program and as the Smithsonian lecturer on cruises. He has addressed audiences nationally and internationally on early American history, including talks on Alexander Hamilton, Aaron Burr and their famous duel. Dr. Nurnberger taught history and international relations at Georgetown University for 38 years. He was named Professor of the Year by the Graduate School of Liberal Studies and also received another award for over 20 years of excellence in teaching.   He earned his MA and PhD in American History from Columbia University and Georgetown.
