Carlan Tapp is a photojournalist and educator dedicated to documenting the social and environmental issues that define our times. Educated in photography at Art Center College of Design, Carlan also had the extraordinary opportunity to assist Ansel Adams at the Yosemite Workshops for three years.
A sensitive eye and an intimate relationship to his subjects are the signatures of Carlan’s work. His photographs have been used in numerous publications including Harley-Davidson's HOG Magazine, New Mexico Magazine, Associated Press, and NPR’s Living on Earth, and his project work was nominated for the National Geographic All Roads Projects. His photo essays are syndicated nationally and internationally by Redux Pictures in New York. Carlan has taught workshops nationally and internationally, including 13 years teaching with Santa Fe Photographic Workshops. His website is www.carlantapp.com.
