Ann-Charlotte Gavel Adams

Lotta Gavel Adams is Professor of Scandinavian Studies at the University of Washington in Seattle, where she for more than 25 years has taught courses on Scandinavian culture, with special emphasis on drama and film, women writers and children’s literature. She holds The Barbro Osher Endowed Chair in Swedish Studies at the University of Washington. She is a member of Royal Swedish Academy of Letters, History, and Antiquities. Her primary research areas and passions are literature and the arts, which she sees as reflecting the heart and soul of the culture and societies, in which they were created.
