COVID-19 Travel Update
Last Updated: February 4, 2021
A Message from Smithsonian Journeys on the COVID-19 outbreak
As we navigate the Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis, the safety and health of our travelers and staff continue to be our top priority. To ensure your safety and to support the global mitigation efforts to control the spread of the virus, we have made the decision to cancel Smithsonian Journeys trips through April 30, 2021.
We know that those of you with travel plans after April 2021 may also have questions. We will continue to closely monitor global developments and follow the advice of the U.S. Department of State (DOS), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO) as well as other public health authorities and officials in the destinations we visit. As the situation is fluid, we will be in touch with you immediately if there are any updates on your specific trip.
The decision to travel is a personal one; each of us has to determine our own comfort level with travel. To help you make your decision, we have outlined the extra health and safety measures we are taking across all facets of our future Journeys. And to provide you more peace of mind, we have made our payment terms more flexible so you can make future travel plans with the confidence of knowing you can change your plans if needed. Any 2021 trip you book by March 31, 2021 may be cancelled up to 95 days prior to the departure date, and you'll receive a full refund.*
Please contact us at 877-338-8687 or firstname.lastname@example.org if you have specific questions regarding your upcoming reservation.
Thank you for choosing to travel with Smithsonian Journeys and supporting our educational mission to preserve our heritage, discover new knowledge, and share our resources with the world.
