In addition, Smithsonian Journeys offers an optional Travelers' Protection Plan that can cover your trip investment if unexpected circumstances force you to cancel or interrupt your trip. This plan also provides coverage for trip delays, lost, damaged or delayed baggage, medical expense and emergency evacuation. We strongly urge you to consider this plan in addition to any other health insurance coverage you may have. Many medical plans, including Medicare, may not provide full coverage for medical expenses incurred outside of the U.S. Purchasing the optional Travelers' Protection Plan may help ease your worries.
