  • Experience world-class music, opera, dance, theater performances and more at Charleston’s 2013 Spoleto Festival USA. During our popular tour, enjoy prime seating for seven of Spoleto’s top events and presentations by music scholar Stan Engebretson.

    Our program features two operas: Matsukaze by Toshio Hosokawa, one of Japan’s most prominent living composers; and a double bill of one-act operas, Puccini’s Le Villi and Giordano’s Mese Mariano. Other performances include a debut of Le Grand C, a French circus spectacle; Ballet Flamenco by Spain’s Ballet Flamenco de Andalucia; Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, a U.S. debut by the Bristol Old Vic and South Africa’s Handspring Puppet Company; and concerts by Spoleto’s Chamber Music group and the Westminster Choir! You’ll attend exclusive VIP lectures and meetings with Spoleto Festival staff, including a special welcome from General Director Nigel Redden. Charleston provides a delightful backdrop as you enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride through the city center, known for its graceful, unique architecture; dine at some of the city’s famed restaurants, including the Charleston Grille; and stay at the historic Mills House Hotel.
