Join us for an exciting variety of world-class music, opera, dance, and theater performances at Charleston’s 2015 Spoleto Festival USA! During this popular performing arts tour, enjoy prime seating for eight of Spoleto’s top events. Though our 2015 full performance schedule won’t be announced until December 2014 here are some highlights from our 2014 program which included a spellbinding night of theater with Dublin’s renowned Gate Theater performing My Cousin Rachael; two great opera performances including Facing Goya by award-winning composer Michael Nyman and one of the 20th centuries most provocative works Kát’a Kabanová; the exhilarating acrobatic spectacle of Finnish aerialist Ilona Jäntti; Spoleto’s Festival Orchestra performing Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7; the joyous sounds of Spoleto’s Chamber Music series; a Spoleto debut by Dorrance Dance/New York, and the exquisite voices of the Westminster Choir! On our special program you’ll attend exclusive VIP lectures and meetings with Spoleto Festival staff, including a special welcome from General Director Nigel Redden. Meanwhile, Charleston provides a delightful backdrop to this performing arts festival. You’ll enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride through the city center, famous for its graceful, unique architecture, and take an excursion to Boone Hall, one of America’s oldest plantations. You’ll also dine at some of the city’s famed restaurants, including the Charleston Grille, and stay at the historic Mills House Hotel. Limited to 32 participants.

May 31 — Welcome & Spoleto Festival Orchestra
Individual arrivals at The Mills House Hotel in Charleston. Gather for a welcome reception with your Smithsonian Journeys Expert Stan Engebretson. Enjoy a festive welcome dinner then depart the hotel for your first performance. (R,D)
June 1 — Chamber Series & Evening Performance
Enjoy a presentation by Stan Engebretson preparing you for the day’s events. Attend a stirring performance of Spoleto’s Chamber Music Series then enjoy a festive lunch at Magnolia Café. The remainder of your afternoon will be at leisure. After dinner independently gather in the hotel lobby and depart for your evening event. (B,L)
June 2 — Charleston Carriage Ride & Evening Performace
Take a narrated carriage ride through historic Charleston. Return to the hotel for a presentation by Stan Engebretson. Spend the afternoon at leisure. This evening depart for a spellbinding evening performance. (B)
June 3 — Boone Hall Plantation Tour & Evening Performace
Depart the hotel for Boone Hall Plantation in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. One of America's oldest working and living plantations, they have been continuously growing and producing crops for over three centuries. Enjoy a guided tour of the mansion and gardens. Afterwards, there will be a picnic lunch. This evening attend a performance. (B,L)
June 4 — Afternoon of Performances & Charleston Grill
Enjoy a presentation by Stan Engebretson. This afternoon attend an exciting performance. This evening enjoy your farewell dinner at Charleston Grill. (B,D)
June 5 — Depart for Home
Enjoy breakfast before individual departures from the hotel. (B)
