Fairmont Hotel MacDonald
Standing high on the bank overlooking the North Saskatchewan River Valley, the Fairmont Edmonton MacDonald has long been known as the most elegant hotel in the city and is lovingly referred to as 'The Mac.' After four years of construction the hotel (named after Canada's first Prime Minister, Sir John A. MacDonald) opened its doors in July 1915.
