Art Classes
Provence’s extraordinary sunlight has inspired painters for centuries. We have arranged an exclusive series of art classes* with an English-speaking artist and painting teacher during the program. Try your hand at a variety of media and create one-of-a-kind works of art from your stay in Provence.

Hiking
The countryside around Aix presents excellent opportunities for hikers. Join special guide for three different hikes* in the area to stretch your legs and admire the natural beauty of Provence.

Cooking Classes
Learn how to make some of Provence’s most delicious dishes from an English-speaking cooking teacher who is a master chef.* The cooking school studio is designed to give students their own individual work spaces and a clear view of the teacher during demonstrations. After preparing the dishes on the seasonal, multi-course menu, sit down and enjoy the results. Wine and coffee are included.

In addition to our three optional activities, the International Language Institute/Aix-en-Provence offers many opportunities to pursue your interests and hobbies with a French twist! The school will post a calendar of activities during your stay. The events may include outings to the theater, excursions to nearby towns, cooking lessons, and other cultural activities.
