Maryan Ainsworth, Curator of European Paintings at The Metropolitan Museum of Art and Adjunct Professor of Art History at Columbia University, will present a series of lectures on the art of Provence. A graduate of Oberlin College, she received her Ph.D. from Yale University. Dr. Ainsworth was awarded the Knight of the Order of Léopold for the exhibition “Man, Myth, and Sensual Pleasures: Jan Gossart’s Renaissance” at the Metropolitan Museum. A popular and engaging museum lecturer, Dr. Ainsworth has accompanied previous travel programs to rave reviews.
