Jeff will lead February 13, March 19, and October 28, 2012 and March 16, 2013 departures. Kirt Kempter received his Ph.D. in geology from the University of Texas at Austin and has visited and studied plate tectonics and related volcanism around the world, including Iceland, Costa Rica, Mexico, and South America. Kirt will be on the January 9, 2013 departure.
