CAMBRIDGE PRE-PROGRAM OPTION
What better place to begin your immersion into English life than in lovely Cambridge. This merry university townís charm and history rival those of Oxford in a breathtaking setting of medieval architecture, manicured gardens and the winding River Cam. Guided tours feature Bletchley Park, the UKís wartime code-breaking headquarters; the striking Perpendicular Kingís College Chapel, home to Rubensí Adoration of the Magi; Sidney Sussex College; Cambridge American Cemetery and Memorial; and St. Johnís Collegeís famous Bridge of Sighs. With time at leisure, perhaps youíll try punting on the Cam in a wooden flat-bottomed boat, a traditional pursuit of residents and visitors alike and an exceptional way to observe life in this ivy-covered community. Visit Winston Churchillís home at Chartwell and Down House, the home of Charles Darwin. See the stunning White Cliffs of Dover and explore the secret underground tunnels of the Dover Castle.
