Desert Express Private Train
The Desert Express is without a doubt the most comfortable way to cover the great distances required to see much of Namibia. With only 24 cabins split over 4 cars, accommodations are spacious and comfortable. Each cabin has two lower berths that convert into three chairs during the day. Each compartment also has a private shower, toilet and pivoting washbasin with hot and cold water with good water pressure, individually controlled air conditioning, an electrical outlet (220 volts), and a hair dryer. The Weltwitschia Restaurant Car serves hearty Namibian and international cuisine, and the Sptizkoppe Lounge Car provides a comfortable spot to sip a cold drink as you pass through the desert.
