William CogarWilliam Cogar spent over 15 years as a Professor of History at the U.S. Naval Academy and served as Vice President for Collections and Research at Mystic Seaport Museum in Mystic, Connecticut. He is past President and CEO of The Mariners’ Museum in Newport News, Virginia where he oversaw the largest collection of maritime books, manuscripts, maps, and charts in North America.
Adam WatsonAdam Watson is a post-doctoral fellow at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. His area of expertise is the complex Native American societies in pre-Columbian America, especially how they utilized the natural environment. Dr. Watson has conducted fieldwork in New Mexico and in upstate New York.
