Mark Philip Bradley received his Ph.D. from Harvard, and is Professor of History at the University of Chicago. He has studied, written and taught about Vietnamese history and literary culture for more than twenty years. He has written extensively on post colonial Vietnam, Vietnamese memories of war, and Vietnamese colonial and post colonial film and literature. Mark will lead the January departure. Dana Sachs is the author of three books and numerous articles about Vietnam. In 2006, as a Fulbright Scholar in Hanoi, she conducted research for a book on Operation Babylift, the U.S.-sponsored evacuation of displaced children at the end of the war in Vietnam. Dana will lead the February departure. Sophie Quinn-Judge worked as a volunteer in Vietnam and as a journalist in Moscow before completing her Ph.D. at the University of London in 2001 in History. She worked at the London School of Economics before becoming Associate Director of Temple University’s Center for Vietnamese Philosophy, Culture, and Society in 2003. Sophie will lead the March departure. Ginger R. Davis is an author and historian residing in Hanoi, Vietnam while revising her dissertation on US-Vietnam relations at Temple University. She arrived in Vietnam in 2006 on a Fulbright fellowship to begin her research in the archives and libraries of Vietnam. At present, she is also a lecturer at Vietnam National University, Bach Khoa University, and Hanoi University. Ginger will lead the October departure.
