Heba Seoudi
Egyptologist Heba Seoudi is native of Cairo who watched, and then participated in, the history-making revolution that recently swept Egypt. Ms. Seoudi earned a Master's degree in history, focusing on child rearing in ancient Egypt, and completed her Ph.D. with a doctoral thesis on the significance of temple offerings. (Her B.S. degree was focused on tourism, English, and French.) She has lectured at the University of Cairo and the American University of Cairo, and has also presented a lecture series in the United States, at the University of Chicago. Heba is a gracious guide and talented lecturer who regularly leads travelers through the complexities of Egypt. As a resident of Cairo and mother of two teenage daughters she offers interesting personal insight into Egypt's current transformations and vibrant modern life in addition to her knowledge and love of Egypt’s ancient traditions.
