She lived in Taiwan for four years, and travels extensively in China for research and teaching. Katharine will be on the April 10, 2012 departure. Eugene Cooper is a professor of anthropology and East Asian studies at the University of Southern California with special expertise in Chinese society and culture. Eugene will lead the May 2012 departure. Ingrid Larsen is an art historian and specialist in Chinese arts and antiquities, with expertise in early Chinese paintings of the Song and Yuan dynasties. Ingrid will lead the September 2012 departures. Timothy Weston is a professor of history at the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he teaches a variety of courses on modern Chinese history. Timothy will lead the October 2012 departure.
