Anna Pavord

Anna Pavord is a garden specialist and author who has written and lectured on plants and gardens, as well as the people who have created them. Her seminal book, The Tulip, was published in 1999 and made the New York Times best-seller list, as well as reaching No. 3 on the UK list of top non-fiction books. All of her eight books have been published in the U.S., including her most recent, The Bulb. Anna became associate editor of the award-winning magazine Gardens Illustrated when it was launched. She also served for ten years as chairman of the National Trust's Gardens Panel, and has just finished her final term as a member of English Heritage's Parks and Gardens Panel. In 2001 she was awarded the Gold Veitch medal from the Royal Horticultural Society.
