The Riviera at its most glamorous - starlets posing on sparkling beaches for eager paparazzi, veteran directors enjoying an espresso in a seaside cafe, elegant soirées along the Croisette, and - best of all - the artistic wealth found in films from around the world.
The Cannes Film Festival is an exclusive annual event that celebrates the best names in film today. Through a special accreditation granted by the Festival itself, the Smithsonian offers an in-depth, one-week program to explore the world of film in Cannes. Smithsonian travelers will attend various film screenings and meet with a film professional for a presentation and discussion.
Plus, your hotel is located in the center of Cannes, within easy walking distance to the Palais des Festivals, the Croisette, the old port, and the main festival locations around the city. Join us next May and discover a world usually off-limits even to most film lovers!
