Sally Kent

Sally Kent is a specialist in late nineteenth century Croatian history. She received her PhD from Indiana University and is a professor of history at the University of Wisconsin—Stevens Point. Sally has regularly traveled to Zagreb for research since 1982 and was in-country for the last eighteen months of Yugoslavia’s existence. In 1997, the U.S. State Department seconded her to the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Hercegovina. She has published several articles, including a review essay on English-language books on Bosnia and on late nineteenth century Croatian history.  She is currently completing work on a book-length manuscript entitled Franz Josef in Zagreb:  Croatian Politics, Society, and Culture at the End of the Nineteenth Century and is co-authoring a history of Yugoslavia.
