Sadie McVicker is the International Education Manager at Smithsonian Journeys, where she oversees educational programs to a wide variety of international destinations. She earned her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Chicago and her Master’s Degree in International Relations & Development from L’Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris in France. She lived in France for more than six years in both academic and professional capacities and is fluent in French. She has worked as an analyst, writer, editor, cultural liaison and translator in the field of international development as well as for several diplomatic missions, including the Embassy of Japan in Paris, and the Embassies of Singapore and Morocco in Washington, DC. Sadie has a great love of history, international relations, cross-cultural exploration, nature, and the outdoors.
