Exploration, adventure, and an in-depth
educational experience await college-age
students who enroll in our biodiversity program
in Panama this summer! In collaboration with
SIT Study Abroad, a pioneer in field-based
study abroad programs, Smithsonian Journeys
invites college age students on a one-month program devoted to climate change, endangered species, conservation, and sustainability. Top scientists will lead engaging seminars and field research. Home to the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute, Panama is the ideal place to study biodiversity, from coastal ecosystems and tropical rain forests to fertile farmlands. Intensive Spanish language instruction (all levels accommodated) plus homestays with families give students personal insight into the country and its culture.
