Yves Thomas is professor emeritus of French Studies at Trent University Peterborough Canada, from 2010 to 2016, he played an administrative role as Director of the Year Abroad Program in Nantes France and as Chair of the Cultural Studies Department.

A specialist of the French aesthetic avant-garde of the 1920s as well as of French Civilization between Versailles and the Treaty of Versailles, he has recently been appointed Chair of the Arts and Heritage Centre in Trent Hills, Canada where he resides.
