Most of us will never forget the iconic Went with the Wind episode of the Carol Burnett show – a hilarious send-up of the movie with a similar name. If, for some reason, you’ve forgotten this comedic gem, watch below, courtesy of YouTube:
Burnett’s curtain dress, designed by Bob Mackie, is one for the books, and it’s now one for the Smithsonian. It’s now part of our American History Museum’s Kennedy Center Honors Collection. The dress isn’t on display, but if you want to see it up close, for yourself, join our Celebrate Smithsonian tour, here in DC from September 9-12.
